My contacts snapped by an accident when i took them out. an i have ordered new ones?

i went to my opticians an they ordered my perscription and said it would take 3 to 4 workings that was from yesturday, my question is does it always take that amount or shorter or maybe longer, what day do you think they will be done. i mss them can't wait to wear them again
