Is my friend superstitious?

Okay, we were watching this doentary on (called Indie Uncensored) on IFC. And when it showed a girls , he turned away and said that if he sees girls or he watches on a week day, then he'll have a bad week. I thought this was bullsh!t but he's my friend and i dont want to say anything without talking to someone about, So what im asking: Is he superstitious about it?
