What are some excellent books?

I want to read some clic, popular and good books. I've recently read books such as Animal Farm and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and I loved both of them. I really enjoy George Orwell and Victor Hugo as writers. Are there any books you can recommend that are along those lines? I'm already going to read 1984, soon, as I've heard it's even better than Animal Farm, but I need some more books to read. Currently reading Lord of the Flies, so don't recommend that one. Thanks
