here are some band that I would recommend... Vampire Weekend(it's not goth or anything), Tokyo Police Club, The Wombats, Wilco, The Bravery, The Postal Service, The Pale Pacific, Six by Seven, The Shins and Jack Johnson. That should give you some verity.
